"Character Processing," which provides information on character operations (such as character classification and case conversion), string operations (such as string traversal and comparison), and other operations (such as string termination and memory management).
"Data Formatting," which provides a description of the locale-specific data formats and how to convert and format strings with these data formats.
Appendix A lists the different error-number constants for the global error variable and the INFORMIX-GLS functions that can set them. This appendix replaces the earlier version of Appendix A, whose material has been merged into Chapter 2, "Character Processing."
