What Are Static Objects?
Static objects
are graphic objects that, unlike data-bound objects, are not linked to data in a database. You can use static objects to refine the appearance of your scene. An example of a static object is a label: for instance, a piece of text used to identify a wedge in a pie chart layout.
There are three kinds of static objects you can add to a scene:
Primitives
Data symbols
Connectors
The placement of a group of static objects might involve an
alignment panel
, which enables you to position objects relative to a specified point.
