What Is Visionary Viewer?
Visionary Viewer is an ActiveX control that enables any user to view and navigate published Visionary worlds. You can use the Visionary Viewer control in any application that supports ActiveX controls, such as Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, or Excel. You can build your own container application to display the Visionary Viewer control using C++, Java, or a tool such as Visual Basic or PowerBuilder. You can also use the Visionary Viewer control on a Web page to be viewed in any Web browser with ActiveX support.
In addition to the toolbar and event actions, Visionary Viewer provides the following navigation aids:
Scene tabs that list all the scenes in the displayed world
A Viewpoints dialog box that lists scenes and their viewpoints
A drop-down menu that displays the wormholes that the user has passed through
A Runtime Settings dialog box where users can change global parameters for the displayed world
You configure these navigation aids with the properties, methods, and events of the Viewer Control Interface. The Viewer Control Interface also provides methods to:
refresh or stop queries.
detect events such as navigation to a different scene, viewpoint changes, query processing, embedded control actions, and status and error messages.
For more information about the Viewer Control Interface, see
