Setting Up the Trusted Environment

To establish the trust relationship for all users, set up the hosts.equiv file. The hosts.equiv file is in the following location.

Operating System	File
UNIX	/etc/hosts.equiv
Windows	%WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.equiv

For example, your hosts.equiv file might look like the following:

sydney
melbourne

Tip:

Instead of allowing access to all users, you can set up .rhosts files in the home directory of specific users. See your operating system documentation for more information.
