Chapter 3: Registering with the BladeManager Command Line

To use a DataBlade module in a database, you must first register the DataBlade module in the database. Registration is the process of executing the SQL statements that create the DataBlade module database objects and identify the DataBlade module shared object file or dynamic link library to the database server. You use the BladeManager application to register DataBlade modules.

Before you can use BladeManager, you must complete the tasks listed in the section "Prerequisite Tasks," next.

This chapter describes how to use the BladeManager command line interface on UNIX and Windows. This interface provides commands to perform tasks, as described in the following sections:
