Prerequisite Tasks
This section lists the prerequisite tasks for using BladeManager to register DataBlade modules.
To prepare for using BladeManager
1.
Configure your Informix environment:
UNIX
To configure your Informix environment on
UNIX

Windows
To configure your Informix database server environment on Windows
NT
, see the INFORMIX-Universal Server Installation Guide for Windows NT.
To configure your Informix client products environment on Windows, see the Informix Client Products Installation Guide for Microsoft Windows Environments.

Install DataBlade modules.

for more information.
3.
Install BladeManager.
BladeManager is a component of the DataBlade Developers Kit. To install BladeManager, see the Read Me First sheet packaged with the DataBlade Developers Kit software.
To start BladeManager, select

DBDK
BladeManager
or double-click the
DBDK
BladeManager
icon
in the
INFORMIX
program group. To see a particular page in the application window, click its tab.
