mi_convert_from_codeset()
The
mi_convert_from_codeset()
function converts data from a specified code set.
Syntax
mi_integer mi_convert_from_code set(
string
,
locale_name
)
char *string;
char *locale_name;
string
is the data to convert.
locale_name
is the code set from which to convert the data.

Usage
Universal Server automatically converts text columns from the server and client locales. However, the
mi_convert_from_codeset()
function is useful for a user-defined type that has an embedded string or additional information about local code sets.
Return Values
A pointer to the buffer that contains the resulting data.
