The DataBlade Developers Kit InfoShelf can be launched from the BladeSmith Help menu or started independently from the Informix program group.

All the DataBlade Developers Kit manuals are also provided on the Answers OnLine CD in Adobe PDF format so that you can view and search for information on-line. For searches, you can specify a word or phrase and specify which manuals you want to search. You can also place electronic annotations and bookmarks on pages of particular interest to you. The pages you view and print from the on-line manuals on the CD have the same layout and design as the printed manuals.

On-Line File Purpose

dbdkdoc.txt

Describes features that are not covered in the manuals or that have been modified since publication.

dbdkrel.txt

Describes feature differences from earlier versions of Informix products and how these differences might affect current products. This file also contains information about any known problems and their workarounds.

These files are located in the %INFORMIXDIR%\release directory under the subdirectory for your locale. Please examine these files because they contain vital information about application and performance issues.
