Opening a Visionary World

You can open Visionary worlds stored in the database or on your local file system. To open a Visionary world stored in the database, you must first connect to the database. Whether a world is stored on your local file system or in the database, you must be connected to the database that the world uses. For information about connecting to a database, see "Starting Visionary Studio".

To open an existing Visionary world

    1. Choose File Open to display the Open World dialog box.

    2. Click Open from files or Open from database to choose the location of the world you want to open.

    3. Select the world you want to open.

    4. Click Open. The world opens with the first scene as the active window.

Tip: You can also open an existing Visionary world by double-clicking a file with the .vwp extension in Windows Explorer.
Important: Whether a world is stored on your local file system or in the database, you must be connected to the database to modify or use the world.
