Saving a Visionary World

You can store Visionary worlds in a local or network file system or in an Informix database. Visionary worlds stored in a database are stored in the VisWorlds table. Visionary worlds stored in a file system are saved with the file extension .vwp.

To save a Visionary world in a database, you must first connect to the database. For information about connecting to a database, see "Starting Visionary Studio".

To save a Visionary world

    1. Choose File Save or right-click the world you want to save and select Save from the popup menu to display the Save dialog box.

    2. Click Save to a file or Save to a database to choose where to save your world.

    3. Type the name of the world you want to save in the File name text box.

    4. Click Save.

Warning: Visionary worlds saved in the database or in a network file system can be opened by more than one user. If more than one user is making changes to the file and saving them, each save completely overwrites the previous version and does not include other users' changes.
