Printing a Visionary World

Visionary provides printing support from any active view. The printed output varies slightly depending on the view.

To set margins and page orientation

Choose File Page Setup to use the Page Setup dialog box.

To print the active view

Choose File Print to use the standard Microsoft Windows Print dialog box.

The following table describes the printed output from the different editors and views.

Editor or View Printed Output

Scene Editor

A single page corresponding to the current display coordinates.

The current view appears in print as it appears on the screen, centered on the printout within the designated margins. In addition, because the aspect ratio of the printable area of the page is generally different from the aspect ratio of the view, the printout shows parts of the display in either the horizontal or vertical directions that are not visible on the screen.

Data Element Editor

A single page corresponding to the current zoom and pan location.

The current view appears in print as it appears on the screen, centered on the printout within the designated margins. In addition, because the aspect ratio of the printable area of the page is generally different from the aspect ratio of the view, the printout shows parts of the display in either the horizontal or vertical directions that are not visible on the screen.

Query Editor, Query Diagram view

One or more pages, as required to print the entire diagram at the default zoom level of 100%.

Query Editor, SQL Text and Datasheet views

One or more pages, as required to print out the entire text.

World Structure Editor, Structure view

One or more pages, as required to print the entire diagram at the default zoom level of 100%.

World Structure Editor, Pseudocode view

One or more pages, as required to print out the entire text.
