Event Band

A data symbol displayed as a rectangle of variable width. It is used to display ranges of x-values, such as a length of time an event lasted, along an axis. The event band is typically used with other data layers to depict events that correspond to other data.

Valid properties for the Event Band object are described in the following table.

Specifies the x-coordinate for the begin date on the axis.

EndDate
DateTime
Specifies the x-coordinate for the end date on the axis.

Filled
Boolean
Determines whether the rectangle is filled with the specified fill pattern.

FillColor
Color
Specifies the fill color.

ContrastColor
Color
Specifies the color of the pattern background when TransparentPattern is False.

FillPattern
Enum
Style of the rectangle fill.

FillTransparency
Boolean
Specifies whether the area in between hatched patterns is filled with the ContrastColor (False) or remains unfilled (True).

LineColor
Color
Color of the rectangle border.

LineWidth
Numeric
Width of the border in points at a zoom level of 100%. A width of 0 represents a single-pixel line.

LineStyle
Enum
Style of the rectangle border.
