Users Permitted to Change Modes

UNIX Only

Only users who are logged in as root or informix can change the operating mode of the database server.

Windows Only

Table 15 shows which users can change the operating mode of the database server in Windows. If you use ISA, you can log in to the operating system as any user but you must log in to Apache as user informix. The Apache server runs as a member of the Informix-Admin group.
