Timeline Chart

A type of layout that displays a time series as a curve. The x-axis is a date-based axis, and the y-axis can be assigned to a numeric data source. The timeline chart is typically used to show a trend between data points returned in a sorted order.

Valid properties for Timeline Chart objects are described in the following table.

Point

Specifies the x, y-coordinates of the center point of the plot area bounded by the frame.

PlotAreaWidth

Numeric

Width of the plot area.

PlotAreaHeight

Numeric

Height of the plot area.

When you set properties for Timeline Chart objects, also specify properties for Frame, Date Axis, Y Axis, Data Element, Alignment Panel, and Straight objects. The association between a Timeline Chart object and supporting objects is represented in Figure A-16.
