Spiral Pattern

A type of layout that displays data in an infinite, inward spiral, in which each data point becomes smaller and smaller. Zooming in reveals more data further into the spiral, and zooming out shows more data on the outer portion of the spiral. The spiral pattern is useful for displaying data that is not mathematically related.

Valid properties for Spiral Pattern objects are described in the following table.

When you set properties for Spiral Pattern objects, also specify properties for Element Locator, Data Element, and Ellipse objects. The relationship between a Spiral Pattern object and supporting objects is represented in Figure A-12.
