Informix Error -4527: Undefined opcode in function name.
Cause and resolution
Undefined opcode in function name.
The p-code file for the program (whose file suffix is .4go) has become corrupted. Recompile at least the module that contains the named function (preferably the whole program) and run it again. If the same error occurs, make sure that you are running both fglpc and fglgo at the identical version level. If you are, refer to the Administrator's Guide or Reference for your database server, for additional diagnostics. Contact IBM Informix Technical Support with the diagnostic information.

Reasons / Common Causes
-4527 fires when the compiled p-code file for a program (the .4go file) has become
corrupted — per the official guidance, the runtime encountered a byte it can't interpret as a
valid opcode while executing the named function.
- A corrupted
.4gop-code file, per the official guidance — the direct, named cause. - A version mismatch between
fglpc(the compiler) andfglgo(the runtime), per the official guidance — a specific, named contributing scenario, checked as part of the resolution steps.
Solutions / Resolution
- Recompile at least the module containing the named function, per the official guidance — preferably the whole program.
- Run the recompiled program again.
- If the same error recurs, confirm
fglpcandfglgoare at the identical version level, per the official guidance. - If they are at the same version and the error persists, consult the Administrator's Guide or Reference for your database server for additional diagnostics, per the official guidance, and contact IBM Informix Technical Support with the diagnostic information.

- Recompile the affected module and re-run it; if the error persists, check that
fglpcandfglgoare at the identical version level.
