Cause and resolution

There is a problem with your Certification Authority (CA) certificates store.

We attempted to perform a REST/CLOUD operation but your CA certificates are missing or have a problem.

Fix the problem with your operating system CA store or add our sample certificate ($INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixRootCA.sample) to your operating system store. Also you can copy the $INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixRootCA.sample to $INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixRootCA.pem and it will be used instead of the OS CA store. If you chose this option the file must be owned by informix or the DBSA owner and have permissions 644 otherwise it will be ignored.

  2. Alternatively, copy $INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixRootCA.sample to $INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixRootCA.pem, per the official guidance, to use it instead of the OS CA store — the file must be owned by informix (or the DBSA owner) with permissions 644, or it's ignored.
