Informix Error -1345: Undefined opcode.
Cause and resolution
Undefined opcode.
The p-code file for the program (whose file suffix is .4go) has become corrupted. Recompile the whole program, and run it again. If the same error occurs, check that you are running the identical version of both the p-code compiler and the p-code runner. Oninit® Troubleshooting Guidance
Reasons / Common Causes
-1345 fires when a program's p-code file (.4go) has become corrupted — per the official
guidance, recompiling the whole program is the documented fix.
- A corrupted
.4gop-code file, per the official guidance — the direct, named cause. - A p-code compiler/runner version mismatch, per the official guidance's follow-up suggestion, if recompiling doesn't resolve it — the same class of issue as -1336.
Solutions / Resolution
- Recompile the whole program, and run it again, per the official guidance — this is the documented, first fix.
- If the problem persists, verify that identical versions of both the p-code compiler and runner are being used, per the official guidance.
- If it continues, document all relevant circumstances and contact IBM Informix Technical Support, per the official guidance.
Examples
Recompiling the program
$ fglpc module_a.4gl module_b.4gl -o program.4go
Diagnostic Checks
- Recompile the whole program first, per the official guidance.
- Check the p-code compiler and runner versions match, per the official guidance, if recompiling doesn't resolve it.
