Check the hostname and servicename entries in the $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts file for the desired database server. If you are using TCP/IP, also verify that the hostname and servicename have corresponding entries in the /etc/hosts and the /etc/services files, respectively, on the client computer.
