Unable to open connection to database server: <server-name>. </server-name>
The database server is in an incorrect operating mode.
Bring the database server to the correct mode. For a backup, the database server should be in online or quiescent mode. For a warm restore, the database server should be in online, quiescent, backup, or recovery mode. For a cold restore, the database server should be off-line for IBM Informix Dynamic Server 9.2x or later and in microkernel mode for IBM Informix Extended Parallel Server. To change the database server mode, use the onmode or oninit command.
