Informix Error -9053: An unknown entry in the .arc file has been detected. Recompile your ACE report specification using SACEPREP and then rerun SACEGO. Be certain that the version numbers for SACEPREP and SACEGO are identical.
Cause and resolution
An unknown entry in the .arc file has been detected. Recompile your ACE report specification using SACEPREP and then rerun SACEGO. Be certain that the version numbers for SACEPREP and SACEGO are identical.
The versions of ACEPREP and ACEGO must agree. (To check the version of either program, run it from the command line with the -v option.) To recompile the report, use a version of the compiler, ACEPREP, that is identical to the version of the runner, ACEGO. If the versions are already the same, recompile the report anyway to ensure that the .ace file has not been corrupted. If the error recurs, note all circumstances and contact IBM Informix Technical Support.

Reasons / Common Causes
-9053 fires when ACEGO detects an entry in the compiled .arc file it doesn't recognize — per the official guidance.
- A version mismatch between ACEPREP (the compiler) and ACEGO (the runner), per the official guidance — the first named cause.
- A corrupted .ace/.arc file, per the official guidance — the second named cause, even when versions already match.
Solutions / Resolution

- Be certain the version numbers for SACEPREP and SACEGO are identical (check with the
-voption), per the official guidance. - If versions already match, recompile anyway to rule out file corruption, per the official guidance.
- If the error recurs, note all circumstances and contact IBM Informix Technical Support, per the official guidance.

Diagnostic Checks
- Check that SACEPREP and SACEGO report the same version, and recompile with SACEPREP before escalating.
