What it means

onpload could not open a file or device. %s is the name and %d the operating-system errno.

Common causes

• The file or device does not exist, or the path in the job or -d is wrong.
• Permissions: the user running onpload cannot read (load) or write (unload) it.
• Another process holds a tape device, or the disk is full or read-only.

What to do

• Check the path and test it as the same user, for example with ls -l.
• Look up the errno (man errno) for the specific cause.
• Correct the device or file definition in the job and rerun.
