Hello world, If the subject of this post is confusing then, I am sorry. The situtation is as follows. I have two UNIX servers, server A and server B. Server A contains ESQL/C programs and couple of shell scripts. Server B contains the database. I execute a program from server A which invokes a stored procedure. This stored procedure in turn executes a system call. And that is where problem strikes. In the test environment, server A was Solaris box and server B was SINIX box. In production, server A is SINIX and server B is AIX. To complicate the matters, test setup works fine, production does not. Anybody with any such experience ... any pointers ??? The db error is -668 and isam error is -2. Informix version : Online 7.23UC3. TIA, Ravi... -- Ravi Pinto, Bombay, India. If it doesn't then it a unix to unix permission/path problem. If it does work then its is the environment setting when the system command is spawned Paul Watson # I don't suffer from WF Software Ltd. # stress, I'm just Tel. (+44) 1436 674729 # a carrier Fax.
