'C' Functions in ACE and PERFO

Some of you may recall me asking for help about including 'C' functions in ACE and PERFORM. Some of you mentioned that it could be done in ESQL/C. Unfortunately I don't have ESQL/C. However, I've done a little digging on my own and found the following in the release notes for Informix 4.10.UD1 dated 19 Aug 91. C FUNCTIONS IN ACE AND PERFORM ============================== As part of the unbundling, the capacity for customizing ACE reports and PERFORM forms with C language routines was removed from the INFORMIX-ESQL/C and will be incorprated into the INFORMIX-ISQL product. This means that you will need either INFORMIX-ESQL/C 2.10.03 or 4.00 until INFORMIX-ISQL 4.10 is released. This capacity is currently described in Chaper 6 of the INFROMIX-ESQL/C 4.0 manual [which I don't have (Stuart)]. The notes then go on to list a small number of files with demo the capability. Unfortunately, these deom file only give examples (very limited examples) of how the functions a written and called. There is no indication of how the new sacego sperform is generated. Also these demo programs call a number of in-built (at least I assume they are) functions. Although there is no documentation to this effect I believe these functions serve a similar purpose to the functions used in 4gl programs to pass and return values. I have been though both of the ISQL manuals I have (Tutorial and Reference) both of which are marked as being v.4.10 and can find no reference at all to either these mystery functions or the inclution of user functions. Now for the question [FX: Crowd cheers] Is there anyone out there who, in the light of all of the above, can supply me with the information I need to include my own function in ACE reports and PERFORM forms?
