Who is BeMyApp? Targeting members of IBM forums?

Hi Y'all. I just got an email from no-reply@bemyapp-mail.com , informing me about a new question posted. The lead text reads: [IBM USER GROUP DAYS] NEW QUESTION NOTIFICATION With a button inviting me to [SEE THE QUESTION]. I foolishly failed to notice the unfamiliar "from" line and clicked on that button. Within an ohnosecond, I realized my folly and closed that tab, though if it is something malicious it's probably too late. I'm posting tot he forum because I suspect it is related to my activity on this forum. Has anyone else gotten this? It seems to be benign; a Google search turned up no complaints or warnings about it. The site bemyapp.com seems legit. And no, I didn't wait around to see the question. What's up with that. -- Jacob Salomon PS. An ohnosecond is the time interval between when you do something stupid and when you realize it and groan "Oh No!" :-) #Informix
Hello Jacob, I think you signed up for the IBM User group days. I also received the same email as yours as below. ------------------------------ SangGyu Jeong Software Engineer Infrasoft Seoul Korea, Republic of ------------------------------
Hi Jacob, BeMyApp was a place to stream the latest technical talks, interactive coding sessions, and up-to-date information straight from IBM experts and our partners. We recently moved to a page within the IBM Community called IBM Tech TV. To access upcoming and past Tech TV episodes, you can navigate to the Tech TV page https://community.ibm.com/community/user/ibm-tech-tv ------------------------------ Portia Melita ------------------------------
