I'd probably connect to each database in turn, unload the data to text files, and finally connect to the fifth database and load everything. And I'd try to avoid using I4GL, unless there is some extra processing to be done that cannot be done by DB-Access (or SQLCMD). Of course, one could also point out that one of the advantages of keeping more or less up to date is that you would be able to use multiple connections much more easily. And, also, you are aware that 4.x databases are no longer supported, and that they are not officially Y2K-compliant (though you'll be OK as long as you always, but always, show all 4 digits for the year). And you might want to worry about your backups starting in, oh, 25 days. I don't know that there are any problems with the 4.x backups, but I certainly don't know that you'll be able to recover safely either.
