cdr change repl

I am having a problem with adding a participant to an existing replicate. I am using CLU to do it. I am at IDS 7.31.UC2. The command I am using is: cdr change repl -a fin_repl \\ "P finance@gr_keene2:informix.r_add_rate" "select * from r_add_rate" \\ "R finance@gr_keene1:informix.r_add_rate" "select * from r_add_rate" When I run it, I get the message: "command failed -- server already participating in replicate (20) Does anyone have any ideas????? Thanks Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
What this means is that one of the groups, gr_keene2 or gr_keene1 is
already a participant within the replicate. You can confirm this by an
onstat -g cat or by selecting * from syscdr.repdef rd, syscdr.partdef pd
where rd.repid = pd.repid and rd.name = "fin_repl". (N.B. I'm not ableright now to look at syscdr so I've probably got the specific fields
wrong.)

Thank you Madison. I had defined the replicate before trying to add
another participant by typing the following:
cdr define repl -c gr_keene2 -T -S row -C ignore -A fin_repl \\
"P finance@gr_keene2:informix.r_activity" "select * from r_activity" \\
"R finance@gr_keene1:informix.r_activity" "select * from r_activity"
Maybe I am totaly confused, but I thought I had to define the replicate
first with at least one participant and then add the other participants.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Before you buy.
You are trying to define a replicate with two tables from the same
source/target systems. You will have to define these as two seperate
replicates otherwise we will not be able to tell wheither to map the data
into the r_activity table or the r_add_rate table.
I think that what you might be wanting to do is to create a group and add
the two replicates into that group.
By the way - you can define a replicate with no participitants. I don't
know why anyone would really want to do that, but it can be done.
