Blocked:CKPT problem

Hi All, My instance needs checkpoint, although i executed "onmode -c" to force checkpoint, I still have a problem. Blocked:CKPT ARCHIVE $onmode -c; Warning: checkpoint appears to be stalled and is not complete. Is there any way to resolve this without the option of "onmode -ky"? I've seen lots of process with "C--P---" status. How do i find which process is causing the blocking. I did try to do "onmode -c unblock" but it didn't fix the problem.. thanks a lot.
