HSTools text field help needed

Howdy! I'm currently writing an application using HyperScript Tools and I'm using a single ine text field with a scroll bar to allow users to enter multiple filter values with out taking up a lot of screen space. This works fine. My problem is in trying to parse the entries after I retrieve them with ctstring. For example: The user places 3 entries in the text field, each ended by return TEST1 TEST2 TEST3 filter_string = CTSTRING("text_field",0) returns "TEST1 TEST2 TEST3" when viewed using the message command. The entries appear to be seperated by a single space, but MATCH("filter_string"," ",1) returns 0, indicating that those are not spaces. Any ideas as to what the spaces are?
