Re: SE Reports a "no shared memory" problem

You can has SE & OL in the same INFORMIXDIR if they are the same version e.g. 5.0x or 7.2x, but not (I believe) 5.x & 7.x in the same INFORMIXDIR as lots of files which would be the same on both versions will be different. If this is what you've done you need to clear out INFORMIXDIR & restore from backup or reinstall reinstall the old versions, and then install the new one in a different INFORMIXDIR. Clearing out the orginal INFORMXIDIR will ensure there are no 7.x files left behind to confuse the issue. Then I see no reason for you to have problems once you have finished setting up the extra stuff required by 7.x. Theres a shell variable which controls which one you load if they are in the same INFORMIXDIR (one is sqlexec, the other sqlturbo). BTW I never can across SE 4.10 - with our 4.1x tools we use SE 5.0x. Did something pass me by?
