WHere did my data go?!

IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.50.FC8W2XB on Solaris:
I fragmented a table into multiple dbspaces to see how long it would
take. No problems with all this, all 64 million rows fragmented, about
16m into each database:
set pdqpriority 95 ;
alter fragment on table <tablename> init fragment by roundrobin in arcdbs1,arcdbs2,arcdbs3,arcdbs4;
.. took about 20 minutes and moved all 65m rows into 4 new fragments each with
about 16 million rows each, as expected.
Then to put it back as it was:
set pdqpriority 95 ;
alter fragment on table <tablename> init in dbs1;
Took about 22 minutes ... but all the rows are gone!! The table is now
completely empty!
What have I done wrong?
cheers
Neil

Many times the problem "sits" between the chair and the keyboard... I suppose this was one of those cases? :) On Sat, Mar 31, 2012 at 10:29 AM, NEIL TRUBY <neil.truby@ardenta.com> wrote: > Er, I've found out, and would like to gloss over this subject now please! > ;-) > > > > ******************************************************************************* > Forum Note: Use "Reply" to post a response in the discussion forum. > > -- Fernando Nunes Portugal http://informix-technology.blogspot.com My email works... but I don't check it frequently... --20cf3074afc2309af004bc8d642f
