Two suggestions come to mind that you might try before monkeying around with
stacks, environmental variables or other things that have been suggested.
First, run the SQL code through an editor(sed, awk, etc. on Unix) and strip
leading and trailing padded blanks, tabs and extraneous characters(nulls?,
<CR>?, <LF>?). Second try compiling the code using a 4GL compiler or make it a
SPL routine instead of running it interpreted.
