What happens is probably caused in the 4GL code by using a DISPLAY statement. Haven't wrung it out yet. At one point, after doing a QBE, the code shows a message at the bottom of the screen which pushes everything up one line. When the QBE returns and updates the form it paints the data on the screen in the right places but the form is not updated. I can see this could be corrected by repainting the form prior to displaying the data, but the real problem is that the screen gets pushed up one line when the message is displayed. I can only partly understand why this would happen but I can't put my finger on it and get a real fix for it in the termcap for xterm. Like I said, using vt100 it works fine. This gives me something to do for a rainy day. -- --- / . . \\ | - | \\ \\_/ / --- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ John R.
