Time Travel in Universal?

One of the most exquisite features of Illustra is the way is does transaction logging (leaving old data in the data space). It allows to do "time travel" on the database, querying how was the data at some time in the past. I was wondering if Universal herited this feature or it was dropped for performance sake? I would also like to know what other features were dropped on each engine to do the merging of code. Can anyone from Informix tell us something about these subjects?
