can not remember the details sorry but if i recall correctly there was a bug out there which describes your symptoms. or... maybe you forget to close stuff; maybe an onstat -g stm reveals something???? maybe you can close your current session??? as a workaround... Sorry nothing more Superboer.

Hello Malc, Try work-arounds like locking the temp table in exclusive mode (if that works). Another is to have the 4GL program grab the unix PID and make it part of the temp table name (to make it unique when multiple users are running the same program). And last but not least, you may still be using the temp table and not know it. Many years ago I was fixing someone else's spaghetti 4GL code and had your kind of error. -L.S.
