Passing/Retrieving reference arguments to a stored procedure

Hello I have programmed a SP that only return one row/collumn and I don't want to return it with the order RETURN WITH RESUME. If I program this with Oracle I can do this using reference arguments. It's posible to do this with Informix? Can anybody send me an example TIA
