Looking for your opinion - Informix Users

Hi I'm in the process of selecting a database for a pilot project of a data warehouse and I'm evaluating a few companies. I'm looking for some opinions from the Informix User community on how they feel about the database, it's architecture, any short-comings/pit-falls or interesting features. I'd also like to know your opinion of the support they provide (especially in the Ottawa area). I'm evaluating Informix OnLine Dynamic Server and Informix ViewPoint Pro. My main concerns are managing/tuning the database, back-up and recovery processes, security and flexible tools for data extraction and reporting.
