Folks, mark you calenders, our next next quarterly meeting features Carlton Doe, author of the Informix-OnLine Dynamic Server Handbook. He will present "In-Depth - IBM Informix 9.4" Date: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 Time: 9:00-12:00 noon Location (NEW): IBM E-Gov institute 1301K STREET NW, WASHINGTON, DC 20005 Agenda: In-Depth - IBM Informix 9.4 Carlton Doe Technical Sales Manager IBM Data Management The session will look at the technical details behind IBM's latest release of IDS, version 9.4. Topics covered include how large chunks were facilitated, the new buffer management priority system, how to use sequences and much more. Carlton Doe is author of the Informix-OnLine Dynamic Server Handbook. He is best known for having written two Informix Press books on administering the IDS engine as well as several white papers and technical articles. He has over 10 years of Informix experience as a DBA, Engine Administrator and 4GL Developer before joining Informix in 2000. During this time, he was actively involved in the local Informix user group and was one of the five founders of the IIUG. He served as IIUG President, Advocacy Director, and sat on the IIUG Board of Directors for several years. Carlton currently works for IBM as a Technical Sales Manager in Dallas.
