Re: Php Informix Connect
Posted in 2007
A user trying to get PHP talking to a remote Informix server via PDO_INFORMIX on Fedora Core 6 hit a chain of problems. The CSDK install failed with 'make_lvers not found' and RPM errors saying the packages were for x86_64 — Fernando Nunes spotted he'd downloaded the 64-bit FC4 build and advised the 32-bit UC4 CSDK, which installed fine. Next, pdo_informix showed in 'php -m' but not in the Apache phpinfo() driver list; advice was to check phpinfo/effective php.ini and add extension=pdo_informix.so. A final CLI test then failed with 'SQLDriverConnect: -11005 ... Invalid connection string attribute'. The thread ends with questions about the connection string (SE server) and no recorded resolution.

Next, to check that pdo_mysql is installed you don't have to restart apache, php -m will show it right away. Execute: php fileinfo.php from the commandline, it will give you errors if it has problems loading pdo_informix. If it doesn't and pdo_informix is not mentioned in the output of phpinfo(), then you haven't configured php to use it. Most probably you haven't added extension=pdo_infomix.so to your effective php.ini. "informix", "informix");
$stmt = $db->query("select * from art");
$res = $stmt->fetch( PDO::FETCH_BOTH );
$rows = $res[0];
echo "Table contents: $rows.\\n";
that give me this error code:
