10+ Tables in a JOIN? Who designed your database? Rube Goldberg? Either your app developer doesn't know what he is doing, your DBA Architect doesn't know what he's doing. Or BOTH! Its interesting that no one has caught this... perhaps poor designs are the wave of the future? Sorry to jump on the question, but do you realize what you're asking the database to do?
