Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

How does one determine a connected database session ID from within the
client application program?
I would like to log users sessions by session ID to use in some
monitoring tools using the sysmaster database. Since some users connect
multiple times, I'm not guaranteed uniqueness there, and we have most
connections via v5.0 clients, so the ProcessID is frequently (-1).
I figured out one way, by an elaborate query against
sysmaster:syssqexplain, but I figure there has got to be a better way.
Thanks in advance
Paul.
