Informix DBA needed in Denver area

The City of Aurora, the largest Denver suburb, has an opening for a DBA. The DBA is responsible for:: 1. Migrating all systems from 5.x to 7.2 2. Monitoring and tuning of Informix engines 3. Reviewing database and query designs from developers 4. Working on the design and implementation of a Data Warehouse 5. Implementing Universal Server (1988) We offer a complete benefits package and a wonderful environment. Our DBA generally works 8-5 with flex time available. OT is paid or compensated with comp-time when required, very little OT is required. Our environment includes HP-UX, Novel 4.1, Windows and NT. New development is done with 4GL and Powerbuilder. Enough of the boring stuff - Why would you want this job. The Denver area is BEAUTIFUL. Our work schedule allows you to take advantage of the area's amenities. We do not average 60 hour weeks. The stress level at the city is significantly less than in most DBA environments. Our DBA is not required to carry a pager 24 hours a day. The department director is a real visionary individual (He successfully climbed Mt. Everest in 1995!!!!) The Systems and Operations Manager is great to work for!
