sending e-mail based on insert/update/delete trigger on Informix/NT

Hi, Is it possible to send an e-mail ( calling an method from COM object handling smtp mail - calling a method from custom smtp dll ) based on an INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE trigger on Informix/NT.
