Problem with informix 5.0 on Unix Data General DGUX

Hi, My client receives an error when he was trying starting the engine... A chunk chunkdb03 can't open The operator didn't backup ... y lost the data... What steps do... If i don't restore the data or not startup the engine, I want to re-initialize the instance, but i don't know informix 5.0 because is very old for me... i know from 7.x to 9.30 only. What special considerations exists for it. Does anyone know how solve this big problem, some tips, documentations or manuals... ? Thanks Omar.
