Linux: Upgrade 731 -> 10.0

Hallo, IDS: Version 7.31.UD8 SuSe Linux SLES 8.1 2.4.21 I want to upgrade to IDS 10.0. 1. Is it possible to make the upgrade "in place"? If yes, are there any known problems? 2. ER with update everywhere (7 Server) is aktiv. Are there any problems in replicate data between IDS 7.31 and IDS 10.0? Anybody experiences with such upgrade? Any help is appreciated.
