Tenths of a second? Hundredths? The time units are seconds. The reason for the delay is that INFORMIX cannot know if the ESC really means "ACCEPT" or if it is the start of an escape se- quence produced by a function or cursor key (on my terminal, "cursor up" is ESC A). So it just waits some seconds to be sure that no other characters are following. >If it's a new project, with users that aren't already conditioned to using >ESCape, you should consider setting the "ACCEPT" key to something else.
