Converting 5.x -> 6.0 (was: SET ISOLATION)

The release notes for our 6.0 Informix enginges (Online and SE) (Port for Siemens-Nixdorf RMxxx machines under SINIX 5.4x) just say that the database will be converted when the 6.0 engine accesses the database for the first time. Having to recreate all indexes would be a pain in the a..!!! Please tell me that we won't have to do that.
