It isn't possible to download it from the web. A file larger than a few hundred MB doesn't work with the Netscape browser due to some bug in it. We (as many others) need it available on an ftp server to be able to do a download. I have however order an evaluation CD from your local distributor (GG Data AS) here in Norway. I will test it out. I haven't checked it out well since the prior version which lacked in functionality. It seems like your new version have got a lot. There is still one major thing lacking though: A server version for Windows NT. Although we haven't starting installations with Windows NT yet it is both an important platform, and we need it for our development and we need security that our chosen supplier can deliver on all major platforms. This is enough for me to not use SQL Retriever at all. Others may have different requirements, although I doubt anyone can say 100% that there will be no Windows NT based database servers in their organisation within the next few years. Doesn't SCO do Windows NT server products due to competition, or do you plan such a product? Another point is that there is very little, and far to salesoriented information available on your web site as compared to Openlink. This is a general problem with your other very interesting products as well. I am evaluating some of them, but the effort to get at the necessary information is to large, so I have desided to postpone it for the time beeing. Had detailed and extensive technical information (written by one of your programmers) been available at your web-site I might allready have purchased other products from you. There are so many companies that don't understand that technical information sells technical products. You should stop beeing one of them. As I said I will test SQL-Retriever though, and report back.
