Access user needs help with Approach

Thank you for taking time to help me. Please read through my situation. If you can suggest an online tutorial (part of Approach) that would be very helpful. If you can suggest a QUE Book, or by another reputable publisher, that would also be very helpful (but not as immediate). Also, please correct me on any terms I've used incorrectly in Lotus Approach. I might find the answer right at my keyboard if I search HELP for a different term. I've recently been assigned to create a relational database which generates daily and weekly reports of supplies needed in the making of coated papers. The company is using Lotus SmartSuite, but not Notes. I am familiar with MS-Access for setting up relational databases, but not Approach. I've created three databases. The first (Orders) contains orders' scheduled run dates, product numbers (1), and quantities ordered. The second database (Products) contains the product numbers (1), product names, coating codes (2a) for side one, coating codes (2b) for side two, and coating thicknesses for both sides. The third table (Formulas) lists all of the coating codes (2a & 2b), all of their ingredients/chemicals, the chemicals proportions by volume, and conversions from volume to weight. The paper might contain the same coating on both sides. I did not notice a way to link two fields from the Products table to one field on the Formula table, so I duplicated the formulas in the table. Ex: Coating-1 (9809)/Chem 1-1/Chem 1-2/Chem 1-3/...Coating-2 (9809)/Chem 2-1/Chem 2-2/Chem 2-3 Where Coating 1 and Coating 2 are the same (#9809), but listed in separate fields so the Product table can link directly to them. With the tables created, I attempted to create a "Query" as I would in Acess. However, I did not find an option to "Create a Query". My hunch is that I must yet create a fourth database which has links to all of the appropriate fields, but does not contain data. Upon creating the fourth db, the next step (I believe) is to create a FIND form that queries the empty db. Am I correct that the empty database will pick the necessary data out of the other three databases? Thank you all again. Doug Knoerr
