RE: IBM DB2 serious alternative to Oracle/Informix?

Hello All! IMHO, DB/2 has a more serious problem than weak GUI. I mean the absence of stored procedure written in some SQL extension language. Although it allows for triggers written such a way, the procedures should be written in any host language and then compiled to executables native to OS. IMHO, at this point Informix is far superior. So, I think that downsizing DB/2 is a great attempt itself, but there's to much to do for Big Blue (However, they promise). Regards Igor I. Lisyansky
